Crewe Lane, Southwell The works involved the demolition and remediation of a former workshop and yard. The site was heavily contaminated with hydrocarbons and heavy metals. Following the demolition, deep buried underground fuel and tar tanks were encountered. These were located below the water table and made remediation difficult. These tanks were successfully removed and the site area remediated to residential standards.
